Edgar W. Kingsley, age 83 of Perry Road Pavilion died Saturday, March 14th at the United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia. He was born in Middlebury, September 19th 1925, the son of the late George W. and Elsie Payne Kingsley. Edgar was a hard working dairy farmer and lifetime resident of Pavilion. A 1943 graduate of Pavilion Central, Edgar was a longtime member of the Pavilion Methodist Church and a bowler for over 30 years in the Pavilion League at the American Legion in LeRoy. He was a member of the Pavilion Fire Dept. Exempts, and 5 Point Rod and Gun Club. He served his community as the Covington Justice of the Peace from 1963-71 and served several terms on the Town Board. Edgar enjoyed spending time on his own land, coon hunting, playing cards, and spending winters in Florida. As his final gift to others, Edgar unselfishly chose to be an organ donor. He is preceded in death by a Brother; Howard Kingsley and two Sisters; Marian Berkemeier and Muriel Phelps. Survivors include his loving wife of 62 years, Eleanor R. Creveling Kingsley, whom he married on May 11th 1946, 2 daughters; Sandra (Mike) Whalen of Pavilion, Cheryl (Bill) Pitcher of Batavia, 3 sons; Craig, Douglas and Dennis Kingsley all of Pavilion, a brother; Warren Kingsley of Ft. Myers Beach Fl., 15 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Memorial calling hours will be held from 5-8pm Wednesday, March 18th at the Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main St. Warsaw. A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
