DuWayne L. Howe, age 92 of Salamanca Drive, Port Richey, FL, formerly Perry and Arkport, NY, passed away peacefully, Tuesday June 14, 2022 at Heather Hill Healthcare Center in Port Richey. DuWayne was born in Hornell, October 26, 1929, a son of the late Charles and Lillian Kelley Howe. He attended Arkport High School and Joined the Navy as a Corpsman, serving with the Marine honorably from 1947 to 1951. DuWayne returned home to begin working as a lineman for NYSEG and later retired as a meter tester. He was a longtime member of the Hornell American Legion Post # 440. He enjoyed cooking, hunting and going to flea markets. DuWayne was proud of the fact that he and his wife had a hand in building their own home together. They both enjoyed hosting parties and entertaining friends and family.

DuWayne was preceded in death by his brothers, Eugene, Kenneth, Gaylord, and Charles, his sisters, Alta Glover, Wanda Glover, Mary Lou McHale, Kathleen Baker, Loraine Hoeffner, Charlotte Suften, and Marie Brands.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 67 years, Carol Murphy Howe whom he married on February 11, 1955. Also surviving are two sons, Timothy (Joanne) Howe of Blaine, Washington, Kenneth (Lisa) Howe of Perry, a daughter, Brenda (Rob) Clark of Port Gibson, NY, a brother, Jack "Bing" Howe of Arkport, three grandchildren, Christopher (Lea) Howe, Lindsey Jordan, A. Kenneth Howe, and a great granddaughter Addyson Jordan as well as several nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Friends of DuWayne Howe may call on Friday, June 24, 2022 from 10-11am at the Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main Street Warsaw, NY 14569. A veteran service will be conducted at 11am followed by full military honors at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Heritage Hill Cemetery in Arkport, NY.
