Dorothy Long, age 73, of Moag Rd. passed away Friday, August 8th, 2014 at the LeRoy Village Green. She was born in Warsaw, March 3rd, 1941, daughter of the late Alfred E. and Elsie M. Falkner Moag. A lifetime resident of Wyoming County, Dorothy worked as a payroll manager for B. R. Dewitt in Pavilion from where she retired in 2002. She was chaplain of the International Skamper Campers Club and member of the Go-fer Campers chapter of the International Skamper Campers Club, lifetime member of the Covington United Methodist Church where she was church organist since 1975, former church trustee and nominations committee. Dorothy is survived by her loving husband Gerald W. Long of Covington; a son, Richard A. Long of Pittsburgh, PA; a daughter, Joanne N. (Richard) Lindsey of Covington; a brother, John E. (Elaine) Moag of Covington; 3 sisters, Janice L. (Bill) Killiam of Mansville, Shirley M. Farley of East Bethany and Virginia L. (Paul) Tobias of Covington; 5 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Friends of Dorothy may call from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm Monday, August 11th, 2014 at the Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main St. Warsaw. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home 10am Tuesday, August 12th, with Pastor Ray Noell of the Covington United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Ash Cemetery, Covington. Memorial Contributions may be made in Dorothy's name to the Covington United Methodist Church at 1557 Simmons Rd, Perry, NY 14530.
