Dorothy M. Clark, age 91, of Silver Lake, passed away Thursday, May 10 ^th , 2018 at the Wyoming County Skilled Nursing Facility in Warsaw. She was born in Albion, MI, September 16 ^th , 1926, daughter of the late Ralph and Velma Birtch Clark. A resident of Silver Lake since 1989, and previously abroad, Dorothy obtained her Masters degree from SUNY Cortland and served as a Deaconess for the United Methodist Church. She attended the United Methodist Church of Silver Springs and was a member of the Concerned Women for America and the New Yorkers for Constitutional Freedoms. Dorothy served her country honorably with the United States Army WAC from 1959 to 1962 serving as a chaplains assistant. She enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and Europe. Dorothy was predeceased by a sister, Phyllis A. LaChance. Survivors include 2 sisters, Ruth V. Clark of Ashville, NC and June R. Granger of Greenville, SC; 2 brothers, Clarence R. Clark of Silver Lake and Philip A. Clark of Greenville, SC; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. A memorial service will be held in the Bath National Cemetery Friday, July 6th, 2018 with full military honors.
