Donna Mae Burdick, age 63, of Southview Drive, Arcade, passed away peacefully, at home, Wednesday, April 25, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Donna was born in Olean, May 25, 1960, a daughter of the late Harlan and Orpha Corthell Gilbert. A 1978 graduate of Pavilion Central School, Donna went on to earn her Nursing Degree from Syracuse University and also attended GCC for a time. Donna worked as a LPN for the New York State Department of Corrections in the Terminal Care Division at the Walsh Medical Center in Rome, NY. She enjoyed crocheting, needlepoint and cooking. Donna was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother. In fact most of the neighborhood kids called her mom or grandma. She looked forward to traveling with her beloved husband to the Caribbean and several times to Hawaii.

Donna was preceded in death by her son, Francis James Burdick, a brother, Charley Gilbert, and three sisters, Roxanne Gilbert, Jamie Gilbert, and Betty DeJesus.

Survivors include her husband of 36 years, James H. Burdick whom she married on March 5, 1988, three sons, Thomas A. (Lindsay) Burdick of Raleigh, NC, James M. Burdick of Olean, Zina E. Burdick of Arcade, a daughter, Sheela (Donald Green III) Burdick of Delevan, two grandchildren, Isaac and Maddox Burdick.

Friends of Donna Mae Burdick may call on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 from 10 to 11am at the Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main Street Warsaw, NY 14569. Funeral services will follow the calling beginning at 11am with Pastor Winston Platt of Warsaw's First Baptist Church as officiant. Burial will follow in the Warsaw Cemetery.
