Donald L. Granger age 81 of Lake Street Perry, died Thursday, December 24th 2009 at the Wyoming County Community Hospital in Warsaw. Donald was born in Warsaw on November 28th 1928, the son of the late Gordon and Florence Grohs Granger. He left Warsaw to serve in the US Navy during WWII. Upon returning from the war, he worked as an electrician for Mallory Timers and Almore. Donald spent ten years in Florida and continued to work as an electrician at various jobs spanning a forty year period. He was a member of Perry VFW Post 5009, and enjoyed spending time at the Perry Vet's Club and Wyoming County Vets Inc. Donald also enjoyed spending time visiting at the local nursing homes.
He was predeceased by his parents and a sister, Beverly Granger.
Surviving are six daughters; Cynthia (Frank) Schiller of LeRoy, Sharon Granger (Robert Morse) of Warsaw, Sandra (Kenneth) Wallace of Castile, Rebecca Rutherford of Silver Springs, Pamela (Mark) Slawson of Silver Springs, Linda Granger of Warsaw, three sons; David (Lisa) Granger of Silver Springs, Michael (Amy) Granger of Wethersfield, Kevin (Erica) Granger of Arcade, a brother Robert (Mary Lou) Granger of Perry, 16 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 1 niece and 1 nephew survive.
Memorial services will be held at Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main St. Warsaw on Saturday, January 9th, 2010 at 10:00 a.m.
