Derek B. Clark age 53, of Park Road West, Castile, and previously Gainesville passed away peacefully, Saturday, June 1, 2024 at Suzanne's Comfort Care in Perry, surrounded by his loving family. Derek was born in Batavia, September 12, 1970 a son of the late Michael Clark and Nancy Jill Kelly of Gainesville. A 1988 graduate of Letchworth Central School, Derek worked as a custodian at the Jewish Home in Rochester and in various capacities as a landscaper as well. Derek enjoyed online gaming with his X-Box and was a quiet kind of guy. He had a macabre sense of humor and would even joke about his own imminent demise. After his passing, we were presented with an amazingly beautiful sunrise and peaceful day. Derek was a terrific father, son, friend and brother who loved everything about nature. He was an avid reader and a huge Stephen King fan.

Derek is survived by his daughter, Desiree Clark of Dalton, NY, a son, Jacob Clark of Penfield, NY, his mother Nancy "Jill" Kelly of Gainesville, NY, a sister, Deborah (Shaun) Tarbell of Portageville, NY, a brother Robert D. Headrick of Illinois, a niece, Brooke Soffer and several cousins.
