Pavilion-
David H. Tracy, age 84 of Wyoming Rd., Pavilion, died Wednesday, December 12th, 2012 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. David was born in Ossian, NY, September 8th 1928, the son of the late Harold and Mildred King Tracy. A former resident of Dansville, from where he graduated High School in 1946; David moved with his family to Pavilion in 1957. He attended Reppert's Auctioneer School and worked as an auctioneer in both Dansville and Pavilion. David owned several businesses throughout his lifetime and usually continued working for them once they were sold. He owned Pavilion Livestock from 1956-1973 and managed there until 1992. David was part owner of the former Tracy Brothers Auction Services in Dansville. Recently, David worked for Expressway Auto Auctions. David was known as an independent, quiet, generous and kind man who was always on the go. He had a very strong passion and love for all of his business ventures and working. David enjoyed camping and yard work, but family was always first. He was a member of the Pavilion Fire Company Exempts and several Winnebago clubs including the Keshequa Winnies, Seneca Winnies, WIT Club, and the Excelsior Club where David was a past president. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Laura R. Cartwright Tracy; 2 sons, Tom Tracy of Perry and Todd (Cathy) Tracy of Pavilion; 3 daughters, Sue (Jim) Rudgers of Pavilion, Sally (Bob) Seaver of Rochester and Teresa (Jim) Mustari of Pavilion; a brother, Richard (Shirley) Tracy of Dansville; 13 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, a niece and 3 nephews. Memorial calling hours for David will be held 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm Saturday, December 15th, 2012 at the Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main St. Warsaw. A time of remembrance will be held at the funeral home Sunday, December 16th, beginning at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in David's name to the Pavilion Fire Department at PO Box 156 Pavilion, NY 14525 or the Wyoming County 4-H through the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Wyoming County at 401 North Main St. Warsaw, NY 14569
