David L. Jett age 57 of Route 39 Chaffee, died peacefully, Friday, March 11th 2011 at the Hospice of Buffalo in Cheektowaga, surrounded by his loving family. David was born in Clarkson, NY August 25th 1953, the son of the late Harvey E. and Margaret E. Hughes Jett. David was a lifetime resident of Wyoming County and worked as a machinist for FTT in Geneseo. Dave also performed small engine repair on the side, but especially loved music and playing his guitar. He was an avid outdoorsman who also enjoyed fishing and hunting. Dave was also very dedicated to his family and friends who will all miss him dearly.
He is predeceased by a brother, Bob Jett.
Survivors include his wife; Deborah Howard Jett, two sons; Thomas (Barbara) Jett of Sardinia, David Jr. (Julie) Jett of Honeoye, a daughter; Jackie (David) Irwin of Warsaw, three sisters; Connie Mulcahy, Karen Evans, and Lori (MikeDurfee) Jett all of Castile, four brothers; Harvey Jett Jr., of Silver Springs, Vernon (Audra) Jett of Pike, Doug Jett of Castile, Darrell (Anna) Jett of Centerville, fifteen grandchildren and one great grandson as well as several nieces and nephews also survive. Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main St. Warsaw has arrangements. A celebration of life will be held in David's honor at 2pm, Saturday, April 16th at the Middle Falls in Letchworth State Park.
