Castile- Daniel L. Rafferty, age 61, of South Main St. passed away Friday, July 15th, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Warsaw, February 23rd, 1955, son of the late Ernest and Lucille Bailey Rafferty. A lifetime resident of Wyoming County and graduate of Letchworth Central School, Dan worked as a truck driver for T. J. Marquart & Sons inc. in Gainesville for 16 years from where he retired. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, the New England Patriots, and NASCAR; especially Jeff Gordon. Dan was a dedicated family many who loved his grandkids greatly and was known for his stubbornness and fighting spirit. He was predeceased by his brother, Clair "Tim" Rafferty. Survivors include 2 daughters, Danielle Rafferty of Gainesville and Katlyn (Eric Peet) Rafferty of Castile; a son, Timothy (Emily Wittmeyer) Rafferty of Castile; 3 brothers, Carl (Barbara) Sceusa of Warsaw, James (Josephine) Rafferty of Warsaw, and David (Bea) Rafferty of Silver Springs; 2 brothers-in-law, Eric (Loretta) Butler of Pike and Jason (Chole) Straw of Gainesville; a mother-in-law, Sharon Straw of Pike; 3 grandchildren, Desarray Peet, Sullivan Peet, and Phynnigan Rafferty; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
