Daniel R. Cornwall, age 68, of Sherman Ave., Wyoming, died Friday, January 28th, 2011 at the Wyoming County Skilled Nursing Facility. He was born in Ogdensburg, N.Y., January 27th, 1943, the son of the late Rev. Maurice and Dorice McCutcheon Cornwall. A lifetime resident of Wyoming County, Daniel was a 1960 graduate of Wyoming Central School and a 1964 graduate of Roberts Wesleyan College where he earned his B.A. in history. Daniel worked at the Wyoming County Community Hospital as comptroller and auditor for 36 years finally retiring in 2004 as senior audit clerk. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wyoming and a former choir director. Daniel enjoyed going for walks with his loving wife Joyce, playing golf and reading, especially about United States history. He was very dedicated to his family, his work, and was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. Daniel's neighbors could rely on him as a local notary. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years Joyce Perry Cornwall whom he married June 6th, 1964. Also surviving are 2 daughters, Rhonda (Paul) Schiller of Glenside, PA and Joanne (CJ) Herman of Silver Lake; 1 son, Richard (Jessica) Cornwall of Horsham, PA; 1 brother, David (Margie) Cornwall of Wakefield, RI; 1 sister, Diane Souther of Auburn, ME; 3 grandchildren, Zachary J. Schiller, Jocelyn M. Cornwall and Logan D. Herman, and several nieces and nephews. Friends of Daniel may call Monday, January 31st from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 at the Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main Street, Warsaw. A funeral service will be held 11am Tuesday, February 1st, at the First Baptist Church of Wyoming with Rev. Douglas L. Evans as Celebrant.
