Obituary

Cynthia M. Quackenbush, age 59, of North Water Street, passed away Tuesday, March 11 th , 2014 surrounded by her loving family at the Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. She was born in Warsaw, June 25 th , 1954, daughter of the late Lyman and Bertha Beardsley Granger. A lifetime resident of Wyoming County and 1973 graduate of Letchworth Central School, Cynthia worked as an insurance auditor for 10 years with the Northeast Audit Service in Mt. Morris. She was a member of the New Beginnings Church in Hermitage, a member of the Pike Fireman's Auxiliary, a 4-H group leader, and a member of the 4-H Country Cloggers. Cynthia enjoyed sewing and was a very caring woman who was dedicated to her family. She is survived by her loving husband, Dennis W. Quackenbush of Pike; a son, Richard Quackenbush of Middleport, NY; 2 daughters, Kimberly (Frank LaPoma) Quackenbush of Caledonia and Tracy Quackenbush of Pike; 3 brothers, Keith (Annette) Granger of Castile, John (Pearl) Granger of Pike and Lyman (Pam) Granger of Pike; 2 granddaughters, Allison Allbright of Caledonia and Elizabeth LaPoma of Caledonia; a grandson, Cody LaPoma of Caledonia; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm, Sunday March 16 th at the Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main St., Warsaw. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home 10am, Monday, March 17 th , with Pastor Bob Farnsworth of the Pike Community Church officiating. Burial will follow in the East Koy Cemetery with Pastor Ron Brown of the New Beginnings Fellowship Church officiating. Memorial contributions may be made in Cynthia's name to the Pike Rescue Squad at 67 W. Main St. Pike, NY 14130.
