Craig W.
Kingsley
Oct 19, 1954 — Oct 25, 2026
Pavilion
Craig Kingsley was born October 19, 1954 to the late Edgar and Eleanor (Creveling) Kingsley. He was the middle of five children and lived his entire life between three homes on Perry Road in Covington, NY. Craig passed away peacefully at United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia, NY on October 25, 2026. Craig was a 1972 graduate of Pavilion Central School. Craig left behind a family who knew and loved him well, a lifetime of hard work, a love of good music, bad tequila, Harley Davidsons, and more than a few opinions that he never felt the need to keep to himself. A farmer through and through, Craig was never one to pretend to be someone he wasn't. He had a way of making his feelings clear, often without saying much at all. His quick wit kept people on their toes, and he rarely used ten words if five would do. Beneath the gruff exterior was a man who was extraordinarily helpful to the people he cared about. He might not have dressed it up in sentimental words, but his actions spoke for him. He had his own way of showing up for people, and he did it on his own terms. He remained unmistakably himself until the end, stubborn, sharp-tongued, and independent. Craig was predeceased by his son, Kurt Kingsley, in 2012. Craig is survived by his former wife, Susan, with whom he continued to share a home; his daughters, Cara Kingsley (Rob LaPoint) of Pavilion and Casey (Michael) Tucci of Pavilion; his sisters, Sandra Whalen of Pavilion and Cheri (Bill) Pitcher of Batavia; and his brothers, Douglas Kingsley of Honeoye Falls and Dennis Kingsley of Corfu. He is also survived by five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He will be remembered in different ways by different people, as is fitting for someone who never tried to be all things to all people. He believed in hard work over wishful thinking, honesty over politeness, and saying exactly what was on his mind. Those who knew him best will remember that he had a saying for just about every situation, most would make us laugh, but few are suitable for an obituary. In accordance with Craig’s wishes there will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to the Pavilion Fire Department at P.O. Box 156, Pavilion, NY 14525. Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main Street Warsaw, NY has arrangements. Please visit www.weeksfuneral.com to offer condolences, send cards, to light a candle or plant a tree in Craig's name.
