Conny Zinkievich, age 96, of Wyoming, NY died Saturday, December 18th 2010 at the East Side Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Warsaw. He was born in Canada, January 22nd 1914, the son of the late Emil Zinkievich and Helen Sonduke Zinkievich. Conny attended the Trott Vocational School in Niagara Falls, after which he worked at the Carborundum Company & Otis Elevator. Later, he went on to work as a Cabinet Designer for Sylvania of Batavia, where he retired from in 1982. Conny was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses at Rock Glen, and actively supported their ministry for many years. He enjoyed gardening and music, and was especially fond of playing and repairing violins.
Conny was predeceased by his loving wife of 74 years Olga Kot Zinkievich, his daughter Carol Inguaggiato, and a brother Nicholas.
Survivors include a grandson; Mark (Agnes) Inguaggiato of Wyoming, two sisters; Sophie (Conway) Chadwick of Buffalo, Eugenia (James Eldin) Messer of Lewiston, NY, two sisters in-law, Stella Cupicha and Elizabeth McCormick, both of Warsaw, and several nieces and nephews.
Friends of Constantine Zinkievich may call on Tuesday, December 28th from 2-7pm at the Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main Street Warsaw. A memorial talk will be held at the Kingdom Hall on Wednesday, December 29th at 11am. Burial will follow privately in the Warsaw Cemetery.
