Clifford W. VanSon, age 77, of Livingston Street Warsaw, died peacefully, Saturday, November 18th 2017 surrounded by his loving family, at the Wyoming County Community Hospital in Warsaw. Clifford was born in Warsaw December 12th 1939 the son of the late Theodore VanSon and Edith Steele Bender.
Clifford served honorably in the United States Navy on the USS Zellers during Vietnam. Clifford worked in various driving jobs settling into milk hauling for various companies throughout Wyoming County and eventually retiring a few years ago from Walton Milk Hauling in Alexander. A dedicated husband, father and grandfather, Clifford maintained his dignity and his terrific sense of humor throughout the toughest of times. He was a longtime member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Attica.
Clifford was preceded in death by his infant brother; Theodore VanSon and a step-brother, James Bender.
Survivors include his loving wife of 33 years Sharon Sereatha Baker, four sons; Clifford "Scotty" (Janice) VanSon of Avon, Todd (Lesa) VanSon of Attica, Dondi (Penny) VanSon of Pavilion, Joseph ( Michelle) Murch of Houghton, two daughters; Aimee Murch of West Seneca, Eva (Jim) Kososki of Warsaw, three brothers; Doug (Barb) VanSon, Ted (Tudy) VanSon, Everette (Linda) VanSon all of Attica, a sister; Patty McCann of Colorado a step-sister; Sandy (Mike) Sinclair of Attica, 21 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
Friends of Clifford W. VanSon may call on Tuesday, November 21st from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main Street Warsaw where funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 22nd at 10am with Pastor Lauran Heidenreich from St. Paul's as officiant.
