Christopher D. Ortner, age 35, of Maple Street, Wyoming died Monday, July 26th, 2010 in the town of Attica. He was born in Warsaw, August 8th, 1974, the son of the late David Ortner and Kathy Schurr Dominick. Chris was a lifetime resident of Wyoming County and a 1993 graduate of Letchworth Central School. He was an avid bass guitar player who enjoyed all music. Along with being an active member of Wyoming Hook and Ladder, Chris was fun-loving and had a great sense of humor. He loved to learn and spend time with children. He is predeceased by his paternal grandparents David and Regina Ortner and his maternal grandfather William Schurr. Chris is survived by his wife Heather Brewster, a daughter, Venessa Brewster and a son, Trevor Sachanowski all of Wyoming. Also surviving are 3 brothers, Peter (Heather) Ortner of Nashville, Tenn., Thomas Dominick of Cheektowaga, and John Dominick of Amherst; a stepfather, Mick Dominick of Bennington; a grandmother, Lorraine Schurr of Ft. Meyers, Fl., and several aunts and uncles also survive. A memorial service will be held at Wyoming Hook and Ladder at 11am, Friday, July 30th with the department Chaplain and Pastor of Wyoming Baptist Church, Rev. Douglas Evans. Weeks Funeral Home 123 N.
