Cheryl A. Broughton, age 61, of Rt. 19A. Portageville, passed away Monday, October 25, 2021 in Genesee Falls. Cheryl was born in Buffalo, March 6, 1960, the daughter of the late Robert D. and Beverly A. Klotz Beals. A 1978 graduate of Perry Central School, Cheryl worked for Champion Products in Perry. After Champion's closing she worked as a collections agent with Pioneer Credit and most recently at Coast Professional Inc. in Geneseo. Cheryl was a hard worker, dedicated friend, who was always there and supportive of others. She loved spending time and camping on the family land. Cheryl was dedicated to the light of her life, her grandson; Bryan Flanagan.
Cheryl was predeceased by her beloved husband; Lawrence Broughton in 2018, her nephew; Scott Broughton, an uncle; Roger Beals, and a father in-law; Lyman Broughton.
Survivors include a daughter; Jaime Beals of Portageville, a step-son; Lawrence (Belinda Ball) Broughton of Portageville, a sister; Shelly (Eric) Sickles of Perry, a brother; Lance (Angela McIntyre) Beals of Batavia, 2 grandchildren; Tiffany and Donavan Broughton, a beloved aunt; Fay Beals of West Seneca, 2 step sisters; Jeri Macaluso of Florida, Michelle (Jorge) Morales of Florida, 2 step brothers; Chris Pepperdine of Iowa, Matt (Beth) Pepperdine of South Dakota, a brother in-law; Lynn (Roberta) Broughton of Gainesville, 3 sisters in-law, Maureen (Earl) Goodenow of Portageville, Peggy (Kevin Godfrey) Smith of Silver Springs, Glenda (Mark) Brooks of Warsaw, and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 1pm Saturday, November 6, 2021 at the Assumption Cemetery on Griffith and Finn Roads in Portageville with Pastor Jeff Guesno of Perry's Old Paths Chapel officiating.
