Phoenix, AZ - Charlotte Randall McBride, 103, formerly of 17 W. Duncan Avenue, Silver Springs, New York, died on Saturday, October 10, 2020, at the Gardiner Home, Phoenix, AZ, under hospice care, looking forward to her heavenly home and the reunion with those who had gone on before her.

She was born in Castile, New York, on April 19, 1917, the daughter of the late Roy and Una Voorhees Randall, and the only girl in a family of eight brothers.  She was a graduate of Castile High School and continued her education at Trott Technical School in Niagara Falls, and subsequently became an operator and supervisor at the Buffalo Telephone Company during World War II. She was later employed as a part-time office worker at the Morton Salt Company.

Charlotte was a member of the Silver Springs United Methodist Church for over 70 years, serving in a variety of capacities, mostly in the choir, Sunday School, and the United Methodist Women.  She was also a volunteer and manager at the Wyoming County Community Hospital Gift Shop, and was recognized for 40 years of service in 2009.  She also belonged to the American Legion Auxiliary and the Wyoming County Women's Rebulican Committee.  In 2007 she was recognized as Senior Volunteer of the Year in the Town of Gainesville

She was preceded in death by her husband Gordon D. McBride and her daughter, Cheryl McBride Waddell, and all eight of her brothers, Lloyd, Leo, Telford, John, Bruce, Fay, Clifford, and Roy Randall.

Surviving are her son the Rev. Daniel (Sherry) McBride, granddaughters Dr Stephanie (David) Schreiner and Erin (Scott) Bacchus, a grandson Scott (Jessica) Waddell and five great-grandchildren, Nora and Samuel Bacchus and Kinley, Preston, and Kate Waddell.

She will be remembered as a faithful wife, caring mother, and fun-loving and devoted grandmother and aunt.  Beyond her public investments, she was never short on energy, loved to bake pies, enjoyed every gathering of family and friends and loved watching sports on TV.  She was a woman appreciated for her simple and sincere faith, her gracious manner and welcoming smile.

Arrangements for her memorial service are still to be determined and will be scheduled sometime in 2021.  Memorials may be made to Silver Springs United Methodist Church or the Wyoming Community Hospital Gift Shop.
