Charles W. Rissinger, age 85, formerly of Beachwood Avenue, Castile, passed away peacefully, Sunday, August 18 ^th 2019 at the Wyoming County Skilled Nursing Facility in Warsaw. Charlie was born in Warsaw, February 18 ^th 1934 the son of the late Harold and Elgie Wright Rissinger. He graduated from Letchworth School at Bliss and went on to earn a Business degree from Cornell University in 1956. Charlie was an independent insurance agent with the Goff Agency in Castile for 36 years before retiring in 2000. He enjoyed all things outdoors including fishing, hunting and golfing. Charlie hit a hole in-one at Hidden Acres. He served our country honorably in the United States Army from 1955-1957.

Charlie was preceded in death by his brothers; Herbert, Warren, Lloyd Rissinger, his sister Lucille Caffre. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Jenkins Rissinger, his children; Scott (Debra) Rissinger of Gainesville, Carrie Rissinger of Rochester, Gregory (Debra) McKurth and Tom McKurth both of Fillmore, Sharon (Chris) Volrath of Bowie, Maryland, Jennifer (Mark) Thompkins of Louisville, KY, ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.

Friends of Charlie Rissinger may call on Wednesday, August 21 ^st from 6-8pm at the Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main Street Warsaw where funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 22 ^nd at 10am with Pastor Tom Horner of the Castile Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery in Gainesville. Memorial contributions may be made in Charlie's name to the Wyoming County Skilled Nursing Resident Fund at 400 N. Main Street Warsaw, NY 14569
