Charles A. "Charlie" Dumbleton, age 75, of Perry Rd., Covington passed away Friday, January 31st, 2014 at his home. He was born in Warsaw, August 18th, 1938, son of the late Chester and June Brueser Dumbleton. A lifetime resident of Wyoming County and 1956 graduate of Letchworth Central School, Charlie owned and operated Dumbleton Used Auto Parts Inc. in Pavilion since 1966. Charlie was a hard working man who loved his family dearly. He was a member of the Automotive Recyclers Association of New York and the International Automotive Recyclers Association both for 30 plus years. Charlie was a hard working man who enjoyed visiting with his customers. He was predeceased by a son, David "Fudd" Dumbleton. Survivors include his loving wife, Dorothy Acker Dumbleton whom he married January 10th, 1959; 2 daughters, Sandra (Daniel) Shurgot of Pavilion and Sharon (Russell) West of Pavilion; a son, Dennis (Jeannette) Dumbleton of Wyoming; a daughter-in-law, Linda (Tim) Kowalchuk of Montoursville, PA; a sister, Laura (Ronald) Eddy of Bliss; a brother, Richard (Barbara) Dumbleton of Pavilion; 15 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Friends of Charlie may call from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm, Monday, February 3rd, 2014 at the Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main St. Warsaw. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home, 10am Tuesday, February 4th, 2014 with Pastor Wilson Jones of the United Methodist Church of Pavilion officiating. Burial will take place in the Pavilion Cemetery at a later date.
