Charlene H. Callaro, age 74, passed away peacefully, at home, surrounded by her loving family and friends, Monday, September 2 ^nd 2019. Born in Buffalo, February 5 ^th 1945, the daughter of the late Joseph and Pearl Czerwinski Stone, Charlene graduated from Mount Saint Joseph's Academy. She worked for seventeen years for the New York State Department of Corrections in Attica as a mail clerk before retiring in 2007. The oil paintings, charcoal, and pen and ink drawings hanging in her home as well as many family members, showed what a truly artistic lady she was. Although she was raised in the city, Charlene was much more at home as a country girl. She loved her dogs as well as hunting and gardening. Charlene harvested her own seeds to grow everything from herbs, flowers and vegetables. A terrific cook, she enjoyed feeding family and friends with everything in her vast family recipe book. Charlene was the family Trivial Pursuit champion and everyone's go to for historical information.

Charlene is preceded in death by her husband David who passed away January 15 ^th of this year, a brother; Michael Stone and a sister; Kathryn Margaret Stone.

Survivors include the father of her children; William (Sandra) Larson of West Falls, NY, her children; Suzanne (Lawrence) Hastings of Sun City, AZ, Kara (Joseph) Mayeaux of Phoenix, AZ, Daniel (Dawn Hill) Larson of Shawnee, KS a sister; Suzanne (Wayne) Jeffries of Cheektowaga, NY, a sister in-Law; Judith Stone of Rochester, step-sons; David O'Brien of Perry, Steven (Tina) Callaro of Pike, and Donald Callaro of Silver Springs six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

There will be a private family celebration in remembrance of Charlene.
