Catherine Frances Schuetze Berkemeier, age 53, of Main Street Wyoming died suddenly, March 4th, 2010 at the Wyoming County Community Hospital. Cathy was born October 9th, 1956, the daughter of the late Henry Schuetze and Gloria Moest Schuetze of Wyoming. She resided in Wyoming, New York for the past 20 years where she owned and operated Excentriciti Jewelers and was previously from Snyder, New York. Cathy graduated from Amherst High School and earned a B.A. in Psychology from Canisius College in Buffalo. She was a former member of Ascension Lutheran Church in Snyder and was a current member of Old Paths Chapel in Perry, New York. Cathy was known as a very creative, driven, and artistic woman. Cathy's favorite time of year was Christmas and she loved to celebrate it with all her heart. She is survived by her loving husband Oakley Berkemeier whom she married July 14, 1999. Additional survivors include a brother; Mark (Ruth) Schuetze of North Tonawanda, a niece and a nephew; Jennifer and Daniel Schuetze, both of Lancaster. Memorial calling hours will be held at the Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main Street, Warsaw, Wednesday, March 10th, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A memorial service will be held at 11am, Thursday, March 11th, 2010 at the funeral home with Pastor Jeff Guesno of Old Paths Chapel as celebrant.
