Carol J. Taft, age 80, of Clevenger Road, Ontario passed away, Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at Penfield Place Nursing and Rehabilitation. Carol was born in Warsaw, August 19, 1942 a daughter of the late Lynn E. and Harriet M. Pinkney Scott. A 1960 graduate of Warsaw Central School, Carol attended Robert's Wesleyan College earning her Bachelor's in Education and later Geneseo College where she earned her Master's. Carol began teaching first grade at Williamson Elementary where she stayed for 38 years before retiring in 2001. Carol was a terrific neighbor who enjoyed helping others. She was dedicated to helping all children and volunteered her time at the Ontario Community Center. She was a longtime member of the Penfield Wesleyan Church where she attended her church group, "WOW", and enjoyed crafting dolls for church missions. Carol was very strong in her faith and it showed in her life's work.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband Henry Taft whom she married August 4, 1973, two sisters, Janet E. Davies and Laurel D. McNeil.

Survivors include a sister, Nancy (Pete) Byrnes of Boca Raton, Fl., dedicated caregivers and nieces, Betty Sue Davies and MaryAnn McClurg both of Oakfield and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.

Friends of Carol J. Taft may call on Friday, March 17 ^th from 10am to 12pm at the Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main Street Warsaw. Funeral services will follow the calling at 12pm conducted by Reverend Anna Santana of the Penfield Wesleyan Church as officiant. Burial will follow in the Warsaw Cemetery beside her husband Henry.
