Obituary

Carol A. Logan, age 83, of Lake St., passed away Thursday, January 17 th , 2019 at Premier Genesee in Batavia. She was born in Rochester, October 22 nd , 1935, daughter of the late Merton and Jessie Kelly Mitchell. A resident of Pavilion for the past 55 years, and previously of Rochester, Carol graduated from John Marshall High School in Rochester in 1953 and received her Associates in Fine Arts from the Rochester Institute of Technology in 1955. Carol worked as a commercial artist in advertising for Sibley's Department Store in Rochester. She was a member of Pavilion Methodist Church and was a driving force in starting the Pavilion Library, Historical Society, and Pavilion Methodist Church's nursery school. Carol loved reading, the library, nature, and possessed tremendous artistic talent. Carol was predeceased by her husband, Donald T. Logan in 2011 and a brother, Dick Mitchell. Survivors include a daughter, Holly (Neal) Cox of Wyoming; 2 sons, Christoper Logan of Pavilion and Griffith Logan of Wyoming; 2 grandsons, Camron and Grant; and a sister-in-law, Barb Mitchell. A memorial service will be held 11am Saturday, January 26 th , 2019 at the Pavilion Methodist Church with Pastor Vercant officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hollwedel Memorial Library at 5 Woodrow Dr. Pavilion, NY 14525 or to Carol's Family.
