Brien W. Rollins, age 72 of North Maple Street Warsaw, passed away suddenly, Sunday, July 17, 2022 at the Wyoming County Community Hospital. Brien was born in Beverly, Massachusetts, April 23, 1950, a son of the late Harold and Willena O'Brien and his late adopted mother, Dorothy Rollins. A 1968 graduate of Beverly High School, Brien attended and graduated from the Beverly Trade School in 1969. He then went on to serve our country honorably as a Machine Repairman and Boiler Room Technician in the U.S. Navy serving from 1969 to 1984 to include multiple tours in Vietnam earning the rank of Petty Officer 1 ^st Class. He then joined the Army Reserves finishing out his retirement. Brien then began working as a maintenance technician for both Waste Management and Wal-Mart in Amsterdam, NY where he resided until his second retirement in 2001. He then moved to Warsaw and joined several veterans organizations to include Walter Klein Post #532, Warsaw Vietnam Veterans Association, and the Disabled American Veterans. Brien collected model cars and records. He was nicknamed "Rockin Rollins" because he acted as the resident "DJ" on the ships that he served on. Brien was dedicated to his country and his family especially his grandchildren which he adored.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Cynthia M. Moskal, whom he married December 27, 2003, a daughter, Patricia (Peter) Millen of Warsaw, two sons, Phillip (Sandra) Allbright of Huntsville, Alabama, Andrew (Lorie) Allbright of Honduras, a sister, Leanne Perrigo of Beverly, Mass., two brothers, Scott (Barb) Rollins of Ohio, Jeff Rollins of Beverly, Mass., 9 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Friends of Brien W. Rollins may call on Thursday, July 21, 2022 from 6-8pm at the Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main Street Warsaw, NY 14569. A brief time of family sharing will take place at 11am Friday, July 22, 2022 immediately followed by an American Legion Service will be held followed by full military honors. Burial will take place in the Veterans National Cemetery in Pembroke at a later date. Memorial contributions are requested to the Warsaw Rescue Squad at PO Box 22 Warsaw, NY 14569.
