Beverly J. VanAllen, age 87, has been reunited in heaven with her parents, J. Victor and Doris L. Richardson June, as well as her beloved husband of 60 years, Gifford "Giff" VanAllen, her son, Gregory VanAllen, a son-in-law, Terry Conley, a granddaughter, Markie Grace Conley, a sister, Inez Pervorse, a brother, Gerald June and a sister-in-law, Virginia Levandowski. Their reunion took place on Monday, September 15, 2025. Her final journey began at the Wyoming County Community Hospital, where she was surrounded by her loving family. Bev was born in Boliver, New York and she graduated from Boliver Central School in 1956. Bev began her long history of hard work at the Perry Knitting Mill where she met the future love of her life and husband, Giff. After marrying him, she went on to earn a degree in Sociology from Geneseo State College in 1973. She applied her degree in becoming the first female Deputy Sheriff of Wyoming County, serving as the jail matron, deputy, and later in the probation department. After leaving the Sheriff's department, she took a position as a social worker for New York State at the Gowanda Psychiatric Center. After which, she completed her working career, closer to home, as a social worker at Manor Oak Skilled Nursing Facility in Warsaw until her retirement in 1993.

Bev relied on her strong Christian faith throughout her life. She enjoyed reading, creative writing, as well as walking and hiking. Bev was proud of the fact that she and Giff traveled to all 50 states together. She also served with the Warsaw Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary while her husband was active in the department.

Beverly J. VanAllen is survived by her son, Stephen VanAllen of Warsaw, two daughters, Tawnnee Conley of Warsaw and Heather (Alejandro) Cruz of Perry, a sister, Rose M. (LeDale) Feenaughty of Boliver, two brothers, Dale (Muslima) June of California, Dean (Sally) June of Attica, a sister-in-law, Diane June of Holbrook, five grandchildren, Taeler VanAllen, Christa VanAllen, Jasmine (Chris) Sabanos, Luke Conley and Taryn Lyons, nine great grandchildren, Nevaeh, Ava, and Jocelyn Kimori, Christopher Medina Jr., Jack, Addison, and McKenna Sabanos, Jorja and Iyla Lyons, as well as several nieces and nephews. Bev was affectionately known to all of her grandchildren and many friends as "Boomy".

Funeral services will be held at 1pm Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at Warsaw's Valley Chapel with Pastor Ryan Rovito as officiant. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery in Silver Springs beside her beloved husband Gifford.
