Obituary

Betty A. Crafts, age 90 formerly of Liberty St. Warsaw died peacefully, Sunday, November 23rd at Beechwood Nursing Home in Getzville, NY. Betty was born in Alfred, NY December 14th 1917, the daughter of the late John and Ruby Franklin Jacox. She was a lifetime resident of Western New York who earned a BA from Alfred University and went on for her Master of Library Science at the University of Indiana. She has been a longtime member of the 1st United Methodist Church in Warsaw. Betty has been a homemaker and minister's wife for many years. She was predeceased by her loving husband, the Reverend Glenn A. Crafts on Aug 16th 1995. Also predeceased are a Brother Ralph Jacox and a Sister Marian Smith. Survivors include 4 Sons; Stephen A. (Ruth) Crafts of Kingston, Ontario, Gordon A. (Nancy) Crafts of Clarence, Phillip A. (Joan) Crafts of Leverett, MA, Jeffery A. Crafts of McAllen, TX, a Daughter; Rebecca (Daniel) Velez of Atlanta, GA, 2 Sisters; Gene (Klaus) Roy of Cleveland, OH, and Norma (Harry) Stoneham of Rochester, 11 Grandchildren, 8 Great-Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Graveside services will be held at the Union Park Cemetery in Wethersfield on Wed. Dec. 3rd at 10am with the Rev. Drew Heintzenrater celebrating. A memorial service will be held at 3pm, the same day, in the church Betty and her husband founded together, Christ United Methodist Church at 350 Saratoga Rd. Snyder, NY 14226. Flowers are gratefully declined and memorial contributions may be made to Beechwood Nursing Home 100 Stahl Rd. Getzville, NY 14068.
