Betty Ellen Case, age 92, of Prospect Street Warsaw, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, January 11th, 2018, surrounded by her loving family at the East Side Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Warsaw. She was born in Perry, January 25th, 1925, daughter of the late Charley and Marion Haight Rowley. Betty Ellen was a lifetime resident of Wyoming County, a 1942 graduate of Perry High School, and 1945 graduate of the Wyoming County Community Hospital's School of Nursing. She served in the United States Cadet Nurse Corps. during WWII. Betty Ellen then went on to work as a registered nurse at the Wyoming County Community Hospital, East Side and Manor Oak Nursing Homes before retiring in 1987. She was a spiritual woman who enjoyed camping, reading, and spending time with her family. Betty Ellen was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd S. Case; a brother, Herbert Rowley; a grandson, Joel Mann; and 2 great grandsons, Landon and Trevor Mann. Survivors include 5 sons, Gary D. (Kathleen) Case of Newark Valley, NY, Douglas E. (Valerie) Case of Warsaw, James A. (Helen) Case of Perry, Daniel J. (Sydney) Case of LaGrange, and Matthew W. (Leigh) Case of Warsaw; a daughter, Yvonne (Steven) Christ of Warsaw, 14 grandchildren, and 28 great grandchildren. Friends of Betty Ellen may call at the Weeks Funeral Home Monday, January 15th, 2018 from 11am to 1pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home, following calling at 1pm, with her son, Pastor Daniel Case of LaGrange Baptist Church officiating.
