Betty F. Carney, age 96, of Ellicott Street Rd., passed away Wednesday, March 29th, 2017 at the Wyoming County Skilled Nursing Facility. She was born in Buffalo, September 22nd, 1920, daughter of the late Earl and Alice Powers Burlingame. A resident of Warsaw until 1952, then of Pavilion, and graduate of Warsaw High School, Betty was a dedicated homemaker. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Ralph H. "Shorty" Carney in 2000; and 2 sons, Bruce and Ralph Carney. Survivors include a daughter, Marlene (Gerry) Penders of Pavilion; a son, David "Corn" Carney of Pavilion; a daughter-in-law, Linda Carney of Warsaw; 5 grandchildren, Timothy Penders, Todd (Joyce) Penders, Traci Russo, Sue (David) Fladie, and Edward (Veronica) Carney; 3 step grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 7 step great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held Wednesday April 5th, 2017 at 10am in the Pavilion Cemetery with Rev. Barbara Mosher officiating.
