Obituary

Bernice P. Roll, age 63, of Pavilion Warsaw Road, Pavilion died Friday, July 30th 2010 at the United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia. Bernice was born in Batavia, May 9th 1947, the daughter of the late William and Dorthea Arnold Szymanski. She lived in Pavilion for the last 34 years and previously in Alden, NY. Bernice was a 1966 graduate of Alden Central School and worked as a Rural Route Carrier for the United States Postal Service in Caledonia. Bernice was a member of St. Isadore's Church formerly St. Joseph's in Perry. She loved to cook, garden and fish. Bernice was a 4H leader and liked raising rabbits. Additionally she was a member of the Museum Quilt Guild in Batavia, and the Genesee Region Orchid Society.
Survivors include her loving husband of 34 years, John R. Roll whom she married on February 28th 1976, 3 sons; Michael Pflieger of Las Vegas, NV, Mark Pflieger of Rochester, NY, David Roll of Waterloo, Iowa, a brother; James (Mona) Szymanski of Sulpher, LA, and a special friend Ella also survives.
Friends of Bernice Roll may call on Wednesday, August 4th from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main Street Warsaw. Burial and graveside services will be conducted in St. Joseph's Cemetery on Thursday, August 5th at 9:30am with Father Richard Blazejewski as celebrant.
