Beatrice L. Wright, age 89, of North Main St. passed away Friday, July 6 ^th , 2018 at the Wyoming County Skilled Nursing Facility. She was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, January 4 ^th , 1929, daughter of the late George and Catherine Carney Poste. A lifetime resident of Wyoming County, Beatrice attended Wyoming Central School, graduated from the New England Bible Institute in Boston, MA in 1953, and earned an L.P.N. certificate through the Booth Memorial Hospital in Brookline, MA. Beatrice attended the First Baptist Church of Warsaw where she served as a deaconess and Sunday School teacher and was active with the Pioneer Girls program. She was an avid award-winning quilter and loved animals, especially birds. Beatrice was a brilliant, strong woman who sacrificed for her family and was a wonderful grandmother. She was predeceased by her loving husband in 2004, Donald Wright, whom she married in 1958; and 2 sisters, Janice and Virginia; and one brother, Gordon. Survivors include 2 sons, Mark (Annie) Wright and Joseph Wright, both of Warsaw; a daughter, Joanne (David) Avino of Warsaw; 4 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild. A private graveside service will be held in the Warsaw Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wyoming County SPCA at PO Box 269 Attica, NY 14011.
