Beatrice, L. Greenwald, age 99, of Sherman Ave. Wyoming, died peacefully, Saturday, October 25th at the Wyoming County Skilled Nursing Facility in Warsaw. She was born in Wyoming, August 20th 1909, the daughter of the late William and Mary Sprague-Leaton. Beatrice was a graduate from Wyoming High and went on to earn her Bachelor's in teaching from Geneseo in 1930. Beatrice taught second grade at Wellsville Elementary from 1930-36. She married her late husband Norman Greenwald who passed away in 1975 after 40 years of marriage. Beatrice lived with her husband in North Tonawanda until 1963 when she moved back to her birth home in Wyoming. She is survived by four 1st cousins; Helen Reynolds of Mt. Morris, Chauncy (Marian) Sprague of Brandon, Florida, Isabel Green of Hermitage, and Shirley Scroback of Wyoming. Several 2nd cousins also survive. Graveside services will be conducted in the Wyoming Cemetery on Wednesday, October 29th at 4:30pm with Pastor Laurel Nelson of The Wyoming Presbyterian Church celebrating.
