Barbara L. Hinkley age 68 of Goldsboro, North Carolina died Saturday, November 5th. Barbara was born in Buffalo, New York April 13th 1943 the daughter of the late Ezra L. and Amba V. Owens.
She was preceded in death by two brothers; Emerson & Roger Owens, two sisters; Eunis Cook and Anne Hollingsworth, and loving husband Norman Cook Hinkley.
Barbara is survived by a sister; Alberta Maze of Salt Lick, Kentucky, a brother; Norman Owens of Salt Lick, Kentucky, one son; David V. (Tracy) Hinkley of Goldsboro, North Carolina, and two daughters; Jennifer L. (Brian) Kaczmarek of Warsaw, New York, and Stephanie A. (Will) Carson of Cheektowaga, New York 4 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Barbara worked as an administrative assistant (accounting/budget) for fifteen years for the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority (NFTA) before retiring to Florida. Barbara enjoyed watching racing, mainly NASCAR and loved Tony Stewart. Recently, she enjoyed watching movies and making dinner for her son every Sunday night; her favorites were the 4 Pirates of the Caribbean movies (she loved Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow). She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
