ARTHUR (Art) JAKUBOWSKI (Born 12/25/44, Died 2/19/11)
Do not ask me how he died, for I will not tell you. I will only tell you how he lived.
He was born on December 25, 1944 the son of Bernard (Benny) Jakubowski and Viola Ratka.
He was brother to Robert (Carolyn) Jason and Tina (Teddy) Lukowski.
My father grew up in Buffalo on Beck Street, where he lived most of his childhood life.
He eventually settled in Cheektowaga, where he raised a family and ran a business.
He was father to two sons: David (Sandra) Jakubowski and Michael Jakubowski
And one Daughter: Ann Marie (Douglas) Pieszala
He was grandfather to four: Matthew and April Jakubowski and Megan and Emily Pieszala
My father owned and operated a business in Cheektowaga (Art's Mobil).
A business he started from nothing and grew to be very successful.
My father eventually retired and spent the last 11 years in Warsaw, New York.
A place he affectionately referred to as "God's Country".
My father really had a love for music, and on that note I must quote a song written by Paul Anka,
Popularized by Frank Sinatra, but most liked by Elvis Presley:
"For what is a man? What has he got?
If not himself, then he has naught.
To say the things he truly feels and not the words of one who kneels.
The record shows, he took the blows and did it his way"

Memorial services will be private as my father wished.
