Arthur John Bush, age 91 of East Perry Road, Silver Springs, died Friday, July 30th 2010 at the Wyoming County Community Hospital in Warsaw. Arthur was born in Silver Springs, August 20th 1918, the son of the late Arthur S. and Anna M. Reilly Bush. A resident of Wyoming County since 1982, Arthur previously resided in Henrietta for 20 years. He graduated from Silver Springs High School and worked as a dairy farmer in Ellicottville and Pike. Arthur was an exceptional finish carpenter and welder who enjoyed bowling, golf and deer hunting. He was a member of St. Mary's Church in Silver Springs and was known as a very family oriented man who will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Arthur was predeceased by 2 sisters; Mary Bush and Muriel Downey, 2 brothers; Robert and Adelbert Bush as well as a grandson; Michael Bauer.
Surviving is his loving wife of 67 years, Helen L. Dornan Bush, whom he married on November 5th 1942, 2 sons; William D. (Judy) Bush of Pike, Gerald A. (Bobbie) Bush of Henrietta, 3 daughters; Marilyn (Eric) Swenson of Ft. Myers, FL, Patricia (James) Bauer of Warsaw, Janice (Joseph) Terranova of St. James, MO, 3 sisters; Glenna Popp of Leicester, Julie (James) Gillen of Warsaw, and Adell Stewart of California, 3 brothers; Thomas (Lois) Bush of Silver Springs, Kenneth (Ann) Bush of Rochester, and James (Mary Ann) Bush of Florida, 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 50 nieces and nephews also survive.
Friends of Arthur J. Bush may call on Tuesday, August 3rd from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main Street Warsaw. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary's Church in Silver Springs at 11am Wednesday, August 4th with Father Richard Blazejewski celebrating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
