Arlene S. Chamberlain, age 94 of Fox Road Wyoming, passed away Wednesday, July 10 ^th 2019 at the Wyoming County Community Hospital in Warsaw. Arlene was born in East Otto, NY, December 29 ^th 1924, the daughter of the late William F. and Lorena Vedder Smith. A graduate of West Valley Central School and Fredonia State Teachers College in 1945. She was a longtime substitue teacher for Wyoming Central School. A 72 year member of the Wyoming First Presbyterian Church where she was an elder, a member of the United Presbyterian Women and also served on the Genesee Valley Greater Presbytery. Arlene deeply loved her family and many close local friends. She and her husband traveled worldwide for many years and she treasured the friendships she made through the American Jersey Cattle Association. Arlene was an active volunteer for the Red Cross and Wyoming County 4H. She resided at Hi-Land Farms her entire married life where she and her husband Ray were dairy and apple farmers while raising six children.

Arlene is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ray C. Chamberlain who passed in 1999, two sons; Stan and Dean and a son in-law John Pachuta.

Survivors include 2 sons; David (Dana) Chamberlain and Greg (Jodi) Chamberlain both of Wyoming, 2 daughters; Nancy (Todd) Dieter of Upper Darby, PA, Diane Chamberlain of Silver Lake, 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Friends of Arlene Chamberlain may call on Monday, July 15 ^th from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main Street Warsaw. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 16 ^th at 11am officiated by Pastor Laura Fry of the Covington United Presbyterian Church. Burial will be private for the family in the Wyoming Cemetery beside her husband Ray. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wyoming Cemetery or Historical Society.
