Anthony (Tony) Frangos, age 69, of West Lake Rd. Silver Springs, NY died Monday, January 5th 2009 at the Wyoming Co. Comm. Hosp. in Warsaw. He was born in Gary, IN, April 19th 1939 the son of the late John Anthony Frangos and Helen Lambros. Tony moved to Silver Springs in 2002 following his retirement as a bank manager for Fleet Bank in Buffalo after 35 years. He previously resided in Kenmore and was a 1957 graduate of East High School in Buffalo. Tony served in the US Army from 1963-65. He was a member of the Hellenic Orthodox Church of the Annunciation in Buffalo and a generous supporter of the SPCA. He was predeceased by a Sister; Alexandra (Sandy) Marquart on Nov. 12th 2008. Survivors include 3 Sisters; Rosemary Gabrielson of Tonawanda, Mary (Rick) Dean of Castile, Katherine Chavis of Castile, a Brother; Athanasios (Barbara) Lambros of Silver Springs, several nieces and nephews and many forever friends also survive. Friends may call at the Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main St. Warsaw on Wed. January 7th from 10am-12:30 pm where a funeral service will be held at 12:30 with the Rev Dr. Christos B. Christakis as celebrant. Burial will follow with full military honors in the Union Park Cemetery Wethersfield. Memorial contributions are requested to the Wyoming Co.
