Anna M. Wolcott, age 59 of Gay Road Warsaw, died peacefully at home after a lengthy illness, Monday, May 4th 2009 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Warsaw, September 30th 1949, the daughter of the late Henry Wolcott and Elaine (Frank) Bowen Saunders of Arkport. She was a 1967 graduate of Canaseraga High School and enjoyed being a homemaker for most of her life. She lived in Texas and Virginia for the last 15 years but moved back home to be closer to family. She was a longtime member of the Dale Baptist Church and enjoyed horseback riding and showing horses when she was younger. Ann was known by all as a strong woman. She adored her grandchildren and liked spending time with her doll collection. She will be sadly missed by all those in life that she touched. She was preceded in death by her father; Henry Wolcott and a brother Henry Wolcott Jr. She is survived by her loving husband David A. Lerza who she married on October 25th 1994, 2 sons; Jared Gay of Warsaw, Joel (Kandie) Gay of Warsaw, a daughter; Josephine Bell of Warsaw, her mother Elaine (Frank) Saunders of Arkport, a sister; Patricia (Richard) Prusak of Dale, 6 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews survive. Weeks Funeral Home is handling arrangements. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
