Obituary

Allen B. Hawks, age 66, of Dillon Road Middlebury, passed away, peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, Friday October, 6th 2023 at Millard Fillmore Hospital in Buffalo. Allen was born in Yale, Michigan, June 9, 1957, a son of the late Blaine W. and Dorothy M. Butler Hawks. Al resided in Wyoming, NY since 1992, previously Covington and Michigan. Al was a professional truck driver, driving most recently for Ag Network in LeRoy where he retired from in 2001. He also drove for Lor-Rob Farms, Ron Coniber, and Bud Galligher. Al enjoyed all forms of hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors with his pigs and cows. He also built and collected truck and farm equipment models and enjoyed snowmobiling and riding his motorcycle. Al was a big race fan who was fond of NASCAR and traveling to various races. He even used his mechanical ability to build stock cars when he was younger. He adored his family, especially his grandchildren.

Al was preceded in death by his sister in-law, Mary Hannan and a niece Renee Hannan.

Survivors include his loving wife of 41 years, Sandy Warren Hawks whom he married December 19, 1981. Additional survivors include his three sons, Allen D. Hawks of Middlebury, Brandon (Tosha) Hawks of Middlebury, Adam (Kate) Hawks of Covington, three brothers, Larry Hannan of LeRoy, Harry (Betty) Hannan of Roscommon, MI, William Hawks of Burtchville, MI, two sisters, Kathy (Brian) Kirkpatrick of Ladys Island, SC, and Melanie Wilson of Croswell, MI, six grandchildren, Mackenzie, Mackayla, Elijah, Ezra, Allie, and Colin Hawks, a great granddaughter Remington Andrews and several nieces and nephews.

Friends of Allen B. Hawks, may call on Friday, October 13, 2023 at the LaGrange Baptist Church 7092 LaGrange Rd. Pavilion from 10am to 12pm. Funeral services will follow the calling at noon with his brother in-law, Brian Kirkpatrick a minister of the Universal Life Church (Non Denominational) officiating. Burial will follow in the LaGrange Cemetery. Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main Street Warsaw, NY 14569 has arrangements.
