Obituary

Alice M. Hare, age 87, of Oak St., Warsaw, passed away Thursday, September 19th, 2013 at the Wyoming County Community Hospital. She was born in Marilla, May 31st, 1926, daughter of the late Christian and Florence Ebersole. A lifetime resident of Wyoming County, Alice was a devoted and caring homemaker who also worked as a waitress in the Warsaw area and at the Warsaw Knitting Mill. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Warsaw and a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who always put her family first. Alice loved to dance and sing, and was known to be a great cook. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Stanley M. Hare; a son, Roger Hare; 2 sisters, Grace Roblee and Della Plotz; 3 brothers, Christian, Harold and Walter Ebersole; and a grandson, Jason Hare. Survivors include 6 sons, Gary (Darlene) Hare, Thomas (Teresa) Hare, Daryle (Julie) Hare, Keith Hare, Randy Hare and James (Sally)Hare, all of Warsaw; 2 sisters, Margaret Davis of Buffalo and Mary Robb of Dallas, TX; a sister-in-law, Martie Ebersole; 19 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Friends of Alice may call Monday, September 23rd, from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm at the Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main St. Warsaw. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home, 10am, Tuesday, September 24th, with Reverend Winston Platt as celebrant. Burial will follow in the Warsaw Cemetery.
