Algird Zemaitis, age 89 of Leesburg, FL, passed away suddenly, June 3rd, 2012, at the Wyoming County Community Hospital in Warsaw. He was born in Rochester, May 10th, 1923, the son of the late Joseph and Mary Zemaitis. A lifetime resident of Greece, and of Leesburg, FL since 1996, Algird retired with the rank of Lieutenant from the Greece Police Department. He served his country honorably with the United States Army as a Tec-5 during World War II, fighting in the Battle of the Bulge. Algird is survived by his wife, Joanne Rehnert of Leesburg, FL; a son, Michael (Linda) Zemaitis of Oakfield; a stepdaughter Vickie (Bruce) Parker of Miami, FL, a stepson; Craig (Karen) Molé of Rochester, NY, 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandsons. Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
