Alfred F. Markiewicz, age 72, of Mungers Mill Rd., passed away December 27th, 2011, at his own home in Warsaw. He was born in Buffalo, March 30th, 1939, the son of the late Alfred and Dorothy Zeames Markiewicz. A resident of Wyoming County since 1980, and formerly of Buffalo, Alfred worked as a Bakery Supervisor for the Attica Correctional Facility from where he retired after 19 years of service. Alfred was a true outdoorsmen where he embraced the woods, nature and animals with a true passion. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing as well as his famous Indian craftwork. He is predeceased by his loving wife, Maureen Mitchell Markiewicz; a sister, Carol Smith and a Stepson, John Pritchard. Survivors include a Stepson, Thomas Pritchard of Houston, TX; 2 Sisters, Joan Smith of Las Vegas and Nancy Nelson of New Jersey; and a Brother, Kenneth (Mary) Markiewicz of Alden.
