Sandy Marquart, age 60 of Rt. 78 Gainesville, died Wednesday, November
12th at The Highlands At Brighton in Monroe County. She was born
September 14th 1948 in Clearwater, FL., the daughter of the late Alex
and Helen Androulis Lambros. Sandy was a 1966 graduate of Letchworth
Central and got married to Tom Marquart on July 18, 1970. She went on to
earn her BA and MS in Physics from the University of Buffalo, and taught
at SUNY Geneseo. In 1980 Sandy founded and was president of TJ Marquart
and Sons Trucking in Gainesville, which she managed for 28 years. Sandy
was a very generous and giving woman, and found happiness supporting
many charitable community organizations. Although she had achieved many
things in her life, her most cherished accomplishment was her family.
She was also a longtime and dedicated member of the Hellenic Orthodox
Church of the Annunciation in Buffalo. Sandy is survived by her loving
husband of 38 years; Thomas J. Marquart, 3 Sons; Adam of Silver Springs,
Alex (Courtney) of Warsaw, Aaron of Gainesville, 2 Brothers; Anthony
Frangos and Thanasi (Barbara) Lambros both of Silver Springs, 3 Sisters;
Rosemary Gabrielson of Tonawanda, Mary (Rick) Dean and Tina Chavis, both
of Castile. A Goddaughter Gabriella Orlando and several Nieces and
Nephews also survive. Friends of Alexandra I. Marquart may call on
Sunday, November 16^th from 2-9pm at the Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main
St. Warsaw, where a Trisagian Service will be performed at 6pm. Funeral
services will be held at the Hellenic Orthodox Church of the
Annunciation 146 West Utica St. Buffalo, NY 14222 on Monday, Nov. 17^th
at 10am with Rev. Dr. Christos B. Christakis celebrating and George
Klentos as Cantor. Burial will follow the service in Union Park Cemetery
Wethersfield. Memorial
