Alberta B. Thomas, age 86 of Dale Road, Dale, New York, passed away at home, peacefully, Friday, June 11 ^th 2021 with her beloved husband by her side. Alberta was born in Mississippi, February 7 ^th 1935, a daughter of the late Herman and Susan Hyatt Cochran. She was born and raised in the South but moved to New York in 1972. Bert worked at Wyoming County Community Hospital for over thirty years in various positions throughout the hospital and nursing home to include Medical/Surgical Assistant to Nurses Aide before her retirement in 2004. Bert loved flower gardening and traveling the World with her work friends and colleagues. She was a

quite and loving mother and grandmother, Bert will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Alberta was preceded in death by her five brothers; Fred H. and Clifton Cochran, James, J.C., and Oliver Walker.

Survivors include her beloved husband and best friend of 62 years, Larry W. Thomas, whom she married, June 6,1959. Also surviving her two sons; Kenneth Walker of Prattsburg, NY. Bobby Stubbs of South Warsaw, A daughter Jewel "Judy" Lewis of Bogalusa, LA, 8 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
