ELBURN, Illinois- Alan D. Blowers, 59, passed away unexpectedly April 7, 2018. He was born to Robert and Marian Blowers of Canandaigua, NY. Alan grew up on a dairy farm in the Finger Lakes region of New York State, where he learned the value of hard work, a lesson he carried throughout his life. He took pride in his flower gardens but his true pride and joy were his children. He had a soft spot for children with special needs, regularly volunteering for Buddy Break and raising funds for Special Olympics by doing the Polar Plunge on multiple occasions. Alan was secure in his faith that absent from the body is present with the Lord. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Betsy Blowers, his children Marcy Blowers of Holland MI, Eric (Karlee) Blowers of Horicon WI, and Janna Blowers of Campton Hills; six siblings Ronald (Joyce) Blowers of Avon NY, Donna (Tim) Stoltzfus of Goshen IN, Donald Blowers of Buffalo MN, Richard Blowers of Penn Yan NY, Nancy (Len) Tomkinson of Manheim PA, and Terry (Mary )Blowers of Canandaigua, and numerous nieces and nephews.
