Agnes D. Hume, age 73, of East Main Street Batavia, died peacefully, at Crossroads House, Thursday, November 9, 2023. Agnes was born in Warsaw, March 16, 1950 a daughter of the late Grant and Rosetta Wares Hume. A 1968 graduate of Warsaw Central School, Agnes resided in Wyoming County most of her life but spent a time in Iowa before moving to Batavia. She enjoyed playing piano, flute, sewing and playing BINGO. Agnes loved trips to the casino as she seemed to have her own golden horseshoe. She was a longtime San Francisco 49rs fan. She had a big heart and loved her family dearly. Agnes worked for many years as a small parts assembler for Whiting Door in Akron.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Warren Hume.

Survivors include a son, Paul (Deborah) Remsen of Batavia, a daughter Michele (Dave Gilchrist) Remsen of Akron, a sister, Kay (Ron) Anderson of Pike, two brothers, Arthur Hume of Warsaw and Jim Hume of Colorado, 4 grandchildren, Molly, Marc, Jack and Isabella Remsen as well as several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Agnes's life will be held in the Spring. Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main Street has arrangements.
