Agnes T. Haase, age 92, of East Perry Ave. Silver Springs, died peacefully, Thursday, June 19th at the Wyoming Co. Comm. Hospital in Warsaw with her beloved family by her side.
She was born January 11th 1916, the daughter of the late William E.G. and Janet L. (Miller) McKnight.
Agnes was a 1936 graduate of Charlotte High School. She retired in 1980 from Monroe County where she worked for 15 years as an assistant to the Comptroller. She was a longtime member of St. Mary's Church in Silver Springs who enjoyed reading and crocheting. She also liked to play cards and watch old westerns. She also followed baseball especially the Atlanta Braves.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers Archie and James McKnight.
Agnes is survived by a daughter; Joyce Tillotson of Gainesville, 2 sons; Robert (Harriet) Haase of Farmington, Frederick (Christine) Haase of Greece, NY, 1 Brother Thomas (Joan) McKnight of Rochester, 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and friends also survive.
Friends of Agnes Haase may call from 11am-1pm on Saturday June 21st at the Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main Street Warsaw, NY. Graveside services will follow at 2pm in the Maple Grove Cemetery in Gainesville with Father Lawrence Damian of St. Michael's Church in Warsaw as celebrant.
