Obituary

Abigail J. Hyland, age 59, of Birchwood Acres, Perry, passed away at home, suddenly, Monday, February 22 nd 2021. Abby was born in Buffalo, June 14 th 1961, the daughter of the late Robert and Sarah Dolbow Fieblekorn. A 1979 graduate of Lake Shore High School, Abby resided in Warsaw from 1992 until 2020 when she moved to Perry. She worked in Warsaw as the Town Clerk for ten years prior to her retirement in 2010. Abby could be found at any given time at one of the local auctions, garage or estate sales searching for the most unique items. She had an eye for antiques and enjoyed traveling with her husband. She was a terrific baker, known especially for her apple pies. Abby loved animals and nursed many a stray or wounded back to health, including cats to birds, and everything in between. She was a member of the Wyoming County Veterans Inc. and the Warsaw Moose Lodge #560. Abby had a huge heart and was a very giving people person.

She was preceded in death by her brother; Tristan Fiebelkorn.

Survivors include her beloved husband; John M. Hyland whom she married on July 18 th 1998, her step-daughter; Jolyn (Curtis) Hyland of Batavia, a step-son; Michael (Ashley) Hyland of Oakfield, 2 grandsons; Chase and Knox, 2 sisters in-law; Kate (Bob) Fuest, Patricia (Steven) Ott both of Warsaw, an aunt; Clara (Carl) Jewitt of North Fort Myers, Florida.

Friends of Abigail Hyland may call on Tuesday, March 2 nd from 11am to 1pm at the Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main Street Warsaw, NY 14569. A funeral service conducted by Deacon John Kelly of St. Michael's Church will follow the calling and begin at 1pm. Burial will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery in Warsaw. Memorial contributions are requested in Abby's name to the Wyoming County SPCA or any animal shelter of the donor's choice.
